I’m a music geek and a passionate writer, and I’ve just been lucky enough to see those two paths merge in my life. I graduated from SUNY Geneseo with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication (concentration in Journalism/Media Studies) and a minor in English. I have always been interested in literature and fiction writing, but as I approached college, I developed an acute fascination with print journalism.
I followed up on this attraction by writing for my college newspaper, The Lamron, where I later became the Arts and Entertainment editor. During my college years, I also worked as an intern for the Livingston County News, the county newspaper, as a court reporter and contributing writer.
Since graduating, I have picked up several freelance positions for music magazines. This has given me the opportunity to combine my two passions as well as get my feet wet in the massive ocean of blogging. Primarily, though, it is an outlet for my ever-present fervor for media and the exchanging of information at both global and grassroots levels.
I’d love to continue writing for music publications, eventually settling into the journalism business as a career. I see no better life than one immersed in the arts with the ability to report on this interest publicly. I hope this web site is your gateway into my world as a critic, a writer, an editor and a blogger - but most of all, as a fan.
